I’ve found Denmark to have one of the most unique catalogues of thrillers, in terms narrative tone and character work. While South Korea is the king of creating thrillers with relentless intensity and amazing direction, Danish thrillers have consistently blown me away with the depth of their screenplays, and a willingness to go into the darkest places when it comes to the psychological motivations of their characters.
